Week 7 Lecture 2

Last lecture

The agenda is very clear:

  • how the techniques we were taught relate to the real world

Course recommendations:

  • Programming Massively Parallel Hardware
  • Data Parallel Programming
  • Semantics and Types (very theoretical)
  • Interactive Proof Assistants

The exam

  • Dummy exam uploaded
  • Can bring in stuff ourselves, but there is the compendium.pdf and ap-notes.pdf already provided
  • every question is weighted equally
  • Tips:

    • Be concrete and specific.
    • You are judged on what you write that is correct, but also what you write that is incorrect.
    • Ideally also be concise, but you are not judged on style.
    • Breadth in learning goals is important, and more important than depth in a single topic.
    • If something in the text is wrong or unclear, state your assumptions and answer based on those.
    • The grader has access to your exam submission but not your assignment solutions
